Dr. Janet Lewis (formerly Dr. Duncan) has known Dr. Debby Porter since they were chiropractic students together last century! Dr. Janet and Dr. Debby Porter have continued to grow together in their skills while taking care of each other chiropractically.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Life University in June of 1997. Her Bachelor’s degree in Communications was earned in May of 1988 from the University of Central Florida., Orlando.
After spending 5 years working in a variety of different jobs from radio DJ to customer service, office work, sales, and collections, she found her calling when reading the Life U. motto: “to give, to love, to serve. She packed up and moved to Georgia.
After discontinuing active practice 3 years after graduation when she had her second child, Dr. Janet spent 10 years covering for over 21 different chiropractors in the metro Atlanta area and learning many different techniques. She’s proud to have cared for thousands of patients of all ages from newborn to nineties with many different conditions. She especially enjoys caring for patients with a wellness perspective having grown up getting chiropractic care herself from the age of 2. Her family had the advantage of living one block away from a dynamic family chiropractor in New Jersey.
Dr. Janet has 3 school age children in the Marietta School system, one with Asperger’s syndrome, dyspraxia and ADHD. She stays busy caring for patients at Sandy Plains Chiropractic, but is so pleased to be seeing families and individual patients so close to home too. She has a special talent with kids and is an active Girl Scout volunteer. She has also taken additional training in extremity adjusting (arms/hands, legs/feet), and she has brought a lot of relief to patients with shoulder, elbow and wrist problems.
