My problem started with TMJ, when I was 25
(I am now 58). The doctor put me on a small mg of valium, which I
could not tolerate. In 1990, I lost feelings in both hands, and
had neck surgery. I regained feeling in my hands but experienced
neck and shoulder pain ever since. Before coming to Dr. Porter, I
was having mild headaches daily and a migraine weekly. I wasn't
able to plan anything in the future, because I never knew if I was going
to be "down" with a headache or not. These headaches affected my
eyes, sinuses, neck and shoulders, and lasted at least 24 hours.
Since moving to Georgia
(not to mention the surgery, physical therapies, Dr's visits in
Arkansas, one of which was a chiropractor) I've been to a TMJ
Specialists, an Oral Surgeon (I was told , "I could do surgery on you ,
but it doesn't work!"), Two Ear, Nose & Throat Doctors (One wanted to do
a major sinus surgery and the other told me I didn't need it.) and on
and on and on!
Since I am intolerant of
any kind of pain meds, I just "lived" with it daily. When a friend
recommended I visit a Chiropractor, I thought "what the heck! I've tried
everything else!" My first visit with Dr. Debby was on March 8,
2006. Since that time I have only had 2 headaches. YEAH
BABY!
I highly recommend Dr.
Debbie! She is much more gently and compassionate than any doctor
of any type I've ever been too. She takes her occupation very
seriously and knows what she is doing!
